Free School Meals Scam

The Shubberies school sent a message to parents and carers making them aware of a scam targeting families:“Dear Parents,
We have been made aware of a scam email that is being sent around targeting vulnerable families and we wanted to make you aware.“This scam email states the following: ‘If your childs schools is closed and your child is entitled to free school meals; then to send your bank details to the schools and they will help with funding while the schools are closed.’“All links are fake. “BE AWARE OF SCAM EMAILS

We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately.”
